1 cup almond butter (Creamy or Crunchy)
¼ cup honey (if you prefer sweeter add 2- 3 tablespoons more)
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (optional)
Pinch of Himalayan Salt
½ cup quick oats
1 tablespoon Coconut oil
½ cup Grain flakes (this is what I used )
Optional: ½ cup Chocolate chips or ½ cup protein powder.
- On the stove melt almond butter and honey in a saucepan.
- Add Vanilla and Himalayan salt and oats.
- Mix all the ingredients well.
- Coarsely crush ½ cup grain flakes (I used these to add a crunch to the bars).
- Grease a 9 inch by 9 inch glass dish with little coconut oil.
- Spread the oat almond butter mixture evenly in the glass dish, pressing it down to compact it.
- Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before cutting with a sharp knife.
- Store in an airtight container lined with wax paper.
These Energy bars taste like dessert. They are perfect for a quick snack. Easy to make and do not need refrigeration. Tell me what you think..
