When I lived overseas (meaning not in the United States), I would beg my friends and family to ship me bottles of Asian Toasted Sesame Dressing with “hard-to-pronounce”, “not- sure-if- it-is-food” ingredients like these.
When I look back, I wonder why was it not sooner that I put together a cleaner version of one of my favorite dressings.
With “almost -always –in-the-pantry” kind of ingredients, this dressing can be in whisked in no time and is always a crowd pleaser.
Ingredients
Toasted Sesame Oil 4 tablespoons
Raw Honey 3 table spoons
Raw Apple Cider Vinegar 3 tablespoons
Garlic 5 cloves
Ginger 1 inch by 1 inch or about 3 tablespoons chopped ginger
Coconut Aminos or Tamari 2 tablespoons
Sesame Seeds 1 table spoon White Pepper to taste
Sea Salt to taste
Blend all the ingredients together!
Make about 6 ounces of dressing.
Can be stored in the refrigerator for seven days. Shake well before each use.
The salad in the picture is Broccoli Slaw (shredded raw broccoli stalks+ shredded carrots+ shredded red cabbage ) topped with toasted chopped Almonds, Black Sesame seeds and dressed with Ginger Sesame Dressing …. “My Version”.
